Sustainable Coastal Solutions, Inc.

Coastal engineering experts focused on sustainable coastal living.

About Us

Sustainable Coastal Solutions, Inc. (Coastal Solutions) focuses on developing and implementing scientifically defensible engineering solutions to problems in the marine environment.

Our specialty areas include coastal process analyses, coastal engineering, oceanographic data collection and analyses, estuarine circulation water quality modeling, sediment transport modeling, coastal geology, and coastal zone management.

Coastal Solution’s staff is composed of a diverse group of specialists, most with advanced degrees in coastal engineering.

For more than 30 years, the senior staff at Coastal Solutions have been assisting government agencies (Federal, State, and local) and commercial clients with coastal project planning, design, permitting, and implementation. State-of-science tools, including advanced oceanographic instrumentation, as well as physical process numerical models (hydrodynamics, wave transformation, sediment transport, and water quality) are used to effectively support client needs. Coastal Solutions provides extensive experience from engineers and scientists who understand project constraints, innovative technologies, and environmental regulation issues. Optimized planning and design of coastal projects benefits from specialized expertise, producing economical and environmentally sound solutions.

Our Capabilities

Coastal Solutions staff members have abroad range of coastal engineering experience throughout the United States, as well as the Caribbean. Much of our nationwide coastal engineering experience has been in support of federal programs along the Gulf and east coasts in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, with additional programs in support of state, county, and municipal clients. Being located in Massachusetts, a significant portion of our work remains local, as depicted by the various project locations shown on the map, above.
